Collectors and photographers: Have you ever wanted to get inside a gallery’s mindset to better understand the relationship they have with the photographers they showcase and represent? Join us for this special, year-long series of four sessions with leading female photography dealers from across the U.S. along with a prominent female photographer on their roster.

On March 12, we’ll launch the first of a 4-part series offered by Maine Media with a focus on women-owned galleries and the female photographers they represent.

To start, we’ll speak with gallery owner Catherine Couturier and photographer Patty Carroll. Couturier is a gallery owner who has been part of the fine art photography world since 1999, located in Houston’s Gallery Row. Carroll, a photographer since the 1970s, depicts female figures obscured by the trappings of domesticity in vibrant, color-saturated assemblages. She’s in the collections of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, MoMA, and the Smithsonian Institute.

Whether you’re a collector — no matter nascent or more seasoned — or a photographer curious about the market, don’t miss this opportunity to interact with some of the leading dealers and creators in the fine art photography marketplace.
