Catherine Couturier Gallery is proud to announce that Catherine has been selected as the curator for Analog Forever's upcoming online exhibition "The World Laughs". The deadline for submissions to this open call is January 31st, 2021. The online exhibition will go live on Analog Forever''s website on February 15th, 2021.
To enter, all you need to do is read and respond to the following prompt with your analog photography:
Most calls for entry are pretty serious. The contemporary art world is quite sure of its own importance, and art dealers and artists alike are often painfully dreary. It’s silly in most cases and exhausting in all, so let’s not do that today. Let’s lighten up! Let’s all laugh. Let’s all take a moment to giggle at the absurdity of the world we live in and champion the photographs that point out those absurdities. From slapstick to whimsy to irony, all forms of humor are welcome, be them cheery or dark or bright or bleak. Laugh, and the world laughs with you! Weep, and you weep alone.
