Gallery artist, Rachel Phillips, was recently featured in PDN (Photo District News) in a published article written by David Walker. The article discusses Philips' series, entitled "Divinations"
Rachel began photography while completing her undergraduate degree at SkidmoreCollege. Since graduating in 2005, she has continued to work in the company of excellent mentors and friends including Brigitte Carnochan, Rod Dresser, Huntington Witherill and Kate Jordahl. Her work has been included in numerous national exhibitions, and has been published in American Photo, B&W Magazine, COLOR magazine, and LensWork. In 2010, her series Field Notes was included in Photolucida's Critical Mass Top 50.
Rachel lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and works out of an 8x15 foot studio built on a flatbed trailer! In addition to art, she works teaching dyslexic and homeschooled children.
