In 1997, Leslie Tucker invited Henry Horenstein to Maryland to capture the mysterious multiethnic Wesort clan. What started as a genealogical exploration soon turned into a voyage through America's hidden past. Their photos and interviews with the wise women of the family capture a living archive—a unique window into the past. We sort of People unveils the complex realities of these lives in their own words, painting a vivid picture of a disappearing world.
