Anne Berry has had a very busy 2014 thus far, first being chosen for Photolucida's Critical Mass 2013 Top 50 and now Houston Center for Photography's 32nd Annual Membership Show, currently on view at HCP. In addition, Anne was also chosen as one of three artists in the show for the Beth Block Juried Membership Honoraria, supported by the Beth Block Foundation.
The show, juried by Malcolm Daniel, Curator in Charge of the Department of Photography at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, features the work of 38 different artists from across the globe. From the nearly 300 entries submitted, Anne was chosen with two other artists to for the Beth Block award, receiving $500 and a solo feature in an upcoming issue of HCP's annual publication, SPOT. The exhibition is on view July 11 - September 7, 2014 at the Houston Center for Photography.
In addition, Anne also has an upcoming book, Through Glass, published by North Light Press that is due out soon. The book, part of North Light Press' 11+1 Signature Series, will feature 11 reproduction images of her portraits of captive primates and one original, hand-pulled photogravure made, signed and editioned by Anne. As with all books in this series by North Light Press, Through Glass is being released in a limited edition of 100 books. The book is available now for pre order through North Light Press.
